THE ONSLAUGHT ON LIBYA: WHAT IS IT FOR REALLY?
Previous deliveries
[1,2,3,4]
covered the Libya's crisis, the onslaught of Nato's 8 month-long (Mars-November
2011) heavy bombings of Libyan infrastructure - characterized by the systematic
destruction of the City of Syrte, the flattening of government buildings and
other vital infrastructure elsewhere over the whole Libyan territory, particularly
the bombing of electricity grids, schools, university-compounds, hospitals
and the Great Man Made River's maintenance sites.
UN Security
Council Resolution 1973, which aim was to establish a non-fly zone
over Libya had been overturned by Nato member-states to becoming a mandate to
intervene into Libya's civil unrest, taking side with the so-called rebels, and
finally assist operating a regime change.
In the explanation of the veto cast by Russia (together with China) on October
4, 2011, to opposing a similar resolution about Syria, the Permanent Representative
of the Russian Federation stated:
“The
situation in Syria
cannot be considered
in the Council separately
from the Libyan experience. The international community is alarmed by statements
that compliance with the Security Council resolution on Libya in the NATO interpretation
is a model for the future action of NATO in implementing the responsibility to
protect....The demand for a quick cease-fire turned into a full-fledged civil
war, the humanitarian, social, economic and military consequences of which transcend
Libyan borders. The situation in connection with the no-fly zone has morphed
into the bombing of oil refineries, television stations and other civilian sites.
The arms embargo has morphed into a naval blockade in Western Libya, including
a blockade of humanitarian goods....With respect to Syria ...the continuation
of this tragedy cannot be blamed only on the harsh actions of the authorities.
Recent events convincingly show that the radical opposition no longer hides its
extremist bent and is relying on terrorist tactics, hoping for foreign sponsors
and acting outside of the law. Armed groups supported by smuggling and other
illegal activities are providing supplies, taking over land, and killing and
perpetrating atrocities against people who comply with the law-enforcement authorities.”
|
The above statement of the Permanent
Representative of the Russian
Federation is a testimony of
what really happened in Libya
from Mars 2011 to November
2011.
As a result of the onslaught,
several thousands Libyans -
50.000? 100.000? - lost their lives.
The survivors are left, since November
2011, in a deep chock state as
their standard of living and social
environment had been turned upside
down.
They are now organizing themselves
though, putting in place the Resistance
to the invaders, and their local
puppets accomplices. The near future
of one to two years would tell
if the people of Libya would relinquish
their economic and political sovereignty
to foreign powers.
Spare some
times to watch the YouTube
video-stream below exposed that
visually describe what the Libyans
have experienced after the
so-called humanitarian intervention
of Nato, that
destroyed everything built over
past 50 years.
The onslaught had been so savagely implemented by Nato and so-called rebels that
a sober observer is bewildered, searching for the reasons why.
Indeed,
one is entitled
to raise the following question:
What are the benefits gained by
Nato's member-states, France,
United Kingdom, Italy and the
United States of America in particular,
and their protégés
- the rebels, raiding and destroying
Libya - under the false cover
of humanitarian intervention
to saving Libyans from allege
dictatorship?
-
WHAT FOR REALLY?
The question above raised had been partially answered in Africabiz
Online previous issue and reads as follows
"Simply
put, Nato's member-nations
are trying to steer back Libya Central Bank into the mainstream financial structure,
under the watching eyes of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund,
to provide (reconstruction) funds to Libya with hefty interests payments - and
transform a country which was free of debts (for four decades running) into a
heavily indebted country - as done everywhere else in sub-Saharan African countries."
|
However,
there is more at stake than what
is above outlined. It is not only
about Central Bank's and oil exploitation's
control:
1 - The global financial
turmoil in the United
States of America and
in Europe, that officially
started in 2008 [a, b,
c, d,
e,
f, g],
and is still ongoing,
which experts and pundits
think is there
to last for at least
one decade or two.
2 - The systematic
targeting and killing of
Black Libyan citizens (Libyan
Touareg)
during the onslaught, on
the false pretence that they
are mercenaries from Sub-Saharan
African countries recruited
by the Jamahiriya Regime.
3 - The extraordinary economic
(and diplomatic) inroad made
by China into Africa,
exchanging developing projects
against stakes in the development
of natural resources - giving
African countries a
vital opportunity not to
surrender to the "There
Is No Alternative," (T.I.N.A)
concept developed by western
countries. |

MISCELLANEOUS SERIES: FOOD ENZYME FROM PINEAPPLE - BROMELAIN - IS A NATURAL MEDECINE TO FIGHTING CANCER
A decade
ago Africabiz Online dedicated a series to tropical fruits as per following
links: [34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46]
- the last five listed concerning pineapple.
Current delivery revisits the pineapple's issues [42, 43, 44, 45, 46]
to highlight the importance of pineapple cultivation as an income building
power for African communities and nations.
Indeed, pineapple cultivation/ production can be a strong basis to entering
food enzymes industry (beverages and processed food stuffs,)
to establishing a strong pharmaceuticals industry based on natural raw materials.
In 1972, the first scientific study about the benefits to using pineapple
enzyme (bromelain) for the medical treatment of
a host of human diseases had been published by nutritionist Dr. Gregory
S. Kelly.
Researchers published, in 2007, in the Journal
Planta Medica, a study that found that an enzyme extracted from pineapple
stems known as bromelain was superior to the chemo-agent 5-fluorauracil
in treating cancer in the animal model.
|
Bromelain
is a general name for a family of sulfhydryl proteolytic enzymes obtained
from Ananas comosus, the pineapple plant. It is usually distinguished
as either fruit bromelain or stem bromelain depending on its source,
with all commercially available bromelain being derived from the stem. Image
at the left of this paragraph - courtesy of Edu university/Kelly (click
on the image to reach webpage) shows
the core center of a pineapple fruit, highlighting the stem "crust" where
stem-bromelain is concentrated.
The continuation of the stem "crust" downward into the core
of the fruit, is where fruit-bromelain is concentrated.
Bromelain's applications are short listed
at following link.
More
actions include:
(1) inhibition of platelet aggregation; (2) fibrinolytic activity; (3) anti-inflammatory
action; (4) anti-tumor action; (5) modulation of cytokines and immunity; (6)
skin debridement properties; (7) enhanced absorption of other drugs; (8) mucolytic
properties; (9) digestive assistance; (10) enhanced wound healing; and (11)
cardiovascular and circulatory improvement. Bromelain is well absorbed orally
and available evidence indicates that it's therapeutic effects are enhanced
with higher doses. [Source]
Delivery exposed
at this link provides information about the potential profit generated
by a small scale facility producing 50 metric tons a year of bromelain.
