The strategic decision taken on January 15, 2015 by the Russian Federation authorities, to curtail by 60% the delivery of natural gas through the pipelines running under Ukraine's territory - with immediate execution effect - is a game changer political bang, that would drastically reshuffle the world political stage.

In which way? Global confrontation or global conflagration? That remains to be seen, depending on the reaction of the EU, the U.S. and all Nato's members states. The near future of 12 months should define the trend. The world is really at a dangerous crossroads as hinted about in Africabiz Online's previous delivery.

Obviously that game changer decision is a reaction against western nations sanctions against Russia over the Ukrainian crisis and echoes the warning fired one month ago by the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov.

Now the ball is in the U.S. and EU nations camp. What would be their reaction? Would they retaliate again slapping more economic sanctions on Russia, or would they tone down the confrontation rhetoric and search for a compromise with Russia?

Whatever may be the course the United States of America and allies choose, the world political stage would never be the same again starting from this January 15, 2015.

Indeed, Turkey, a major member state of Nato is right in the middle of Russia strategic decision and would gain accrued political and economic power from the transit of Russian natural gas over its territory.

Doubtless, Turkey, which was already a non fully obedient Nato's member state would, for sure, beef up its political independence clout and increase its economic power. Now, Turkey desire to join the European Union would not be so intense anymore.

So let wait and see. The year 2015 would be the one that would decide upon the destiny of the humanity on planet earth.

Indeed, the options are really few: Continued economic showdown between western nations and Russia - that may lead to the breakup of the European Union, as some nations of its southern part may decide to leave the EU's ship, or global atomic conflagration between the United States of America, its Nato's allies and Russia - leading to the destruction of all forms of life on the planet earth.

- The Russian Federation Strategic Decision Would Also Impact Africa

The incoming economic and political upheaval [1, 2 3, edited on January 18, 2015] resulting from the Russian Federation decision as above exposed would also, doubtless, have a heavy impact on Africa's political scenery.

Indeed, most African countries are already, at the beginning of this year 2015, in deep turmoil. And the daily deteriorating political and economic nose dive (resulting from the lack of sustained strategic schemes to develop the economy and alleviate rampant poverty) would accelerate during this year 2015 - as most African leaders are busy securing unconstitutional third term instead of taking care of the economy.

In some African nations, the political situation is so rotten that the powers that be are on the verge of loosing their grip, risking to be toppled before the end of their current term. For instance, in the Republic of Benin, the signs of such occurrence are on the wall to read - even for the blind.

No doubt that the game changer trump card just played by the Russian Federation would not only impact on Ukraine, the EU, the United States of America, and Turkey, etc.; but also on several African nations that already are zombie nations in the verge of complete economic and political destructuration and collapse.

This time around, the ruling African leaders would not benefit from the caring assistance of their western partners, who, themselves would be deeply occupied to solve the conundrum laid at their door by Russia.

So, doubtless the year 2015, would definitely be the year of long awaited real changes in the global economic and political areas of the world at large.
